Carsten Groa - Fine Art

About me.

I am danish and born in 1950 on the island of Sealand. I am a figurative painter. I began drawing as a child and have been painting since 1973, but with breaks as a musician.
Throughout the past 30 years I have been living in the small coastal city of Faaborg on the island Fuenen, in danish called Fyn.
During autumn and winter I am leading two weekly events, one with life drawing and painting, the other with portrait painting and drawing.
My materials are oil colour and soft pastel.
I President of Nordic Pastel Forum (in danish; Nordisk Pastel Forum), a society for pastel painters in Scandinavia, and a member of the artist society The Storehouse (in danish; Pakhuset).

Jeg er dansk og er født i 1950 på Sjælland. Jeg maler naturalistisk. Jeg begyndte at tegne som barn og har malet siden 1973, men med afbrydelser som musiker.
Gennem de sidste 30 år har jeg boet i den lille kystby Faaborg paa Fyn.
Gennem efterår og vinter leder jeg to ugentlige events med croquis og portrættegning.
Jeg arbejder i olie og soft pastel, og er formand for Nordisk Pastel Forum, en sammenslutning af skandinaviske pastelmalere, samt medlem af kunstnerforeningen Pakhuset.
